These days a lot of bands move to Brooklyn to find their muse and audience. Bishop Allen left Brooklyn for the high skies and green grass of Kingston NY and we are all better for it. After a 5 year hiatus they have returned with a brilliant teaser for their long awaited new LP Lights Out, the ultra catchy single “Why I Had To Go".
It took a long time for Bishop Allen to settle into their new adopted hometown of Kingston NY [one time home to indie legends Mercury Rev] and start recording new material. Supremely catchy,“Why I Had To Go" is hook laden indie pop that will remind you The Shins and Stars. Lauded by the likes of NPR, Bishop Allen deserve the praise. Have a listen below and get happy!
